Birds at Wolf Gap

Wolf Gap provides excellent habitat for many types of birds, thanks to our combination of prairie, woodland, and creekside ecosystems. Keep an eye out for year-long residents as well as migratory birds during your visit.

We strongly suggest using the free Merlin Bird ID app to identify the birds you hear and see during your visit. The Merlin app has the ability to listen to the bird songs around you and identify them in real-time.

We are building Wolf Gap as a Birding Hotspot on the free eBird app, so we encourage you to log the birds you see and hear to help us grow to be a birding destination!
