Pysanky Egg Decorating Workshops at Wolf Gap

We are always delighted when springtime rolls around and it’s time to share traditional Pysanky egg decorating with our community yet again! The Pysanky tradition originated in Ukraine and other eastern European countries. This year’s egg workshop is scheduled for Saturday April 12th from 1pm-3pm at Wolf Gap. Participants will have time to decorate at least one egg, which they can take home. Registration is required here. The class is $20 per person.

We are also opening bookings for Pysanky Egg Decorating classes for private groups of 6 or more people, adults or children over age 6. This is a fun activity for your homeschool group, or a group of adult friends. Contact us at info@wolfgaptn.com about booking a private group class.

The last time we offered this class, Wolf Gap donated 2/3 of the proceeds of our egg workshops to Save The Children’s Ukraine Relief Fund. This year, we’re encouraging workshop participants to make a donation to a verified charity working to alleviate the effects of war in Ukraine.

We have put thought and research into which charity would most effectively and responsibly make use of a donation. Save the Children is an internationally recognized charity with a track record of trustworthy reporting and use of funds. They have an established presence in Ukraine and will be providing support to displaced families seeking safety both within Ukraine and those who have had to flee its borders. Their work includes re-establishing schools for displaced children, providing immediate aid and support kits to families who have had to leave their homes, and ensuring that families have access to clean water and nutritious food when they have had to flee their homes.
